Same Old, Same Old

So it would appear that the iPhone App Store success had more to do with scarcity of apps at the start than a sustainable exciting new model, which shouldn't really be a surprise. It's the same thing that has cursed all other mobile app portals, though having a PC-based iTunes interface has helped a bit.
